Feeling Discourage?

Sometimes unexpected and bad things happen. The Lord is in control and he knows what the outcome will be. Do not depend on your emotions and focus on the Lord. The Lord is good in all ways.

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. — Isaiah 41:10
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. — 2 Corinthians 12:9

Why Miscommunications Happen

People show their love through different ways by what they do and know. Let us say if a person loves receiving gifts they probably love giving them as well. Or if the person love doing things for others that means they love it when people do things for them. If a person likes hearing nice compliments and positive reinforcement, and appreciation from others, they would also do that to others too. Or if a person love physical touch, they would also give or show it to others as well.

If those reciprocation are not supported, then they will feel unloved and hurt. This is one of the fundamentals of human behavior that people keep missing out on because of the miss match and understanding.

I have been reading about Gary Chapman's book on the 5 languages of love and it totally made sense to me. It just does not touch on the couple's level but on all human interactions and relationships. I also believe that you can have more than one kind of love language but one could stand out more than others.

People automatically show their love by the way THEY LIKE IT but not ask how the other wants to be loved. It is a big mistake humans make all the time. Maybe this thinking is foreign to others and they don't know or even are aware of it. People love to assume. For those who got it, you can tell their relationships are pretty smooth and lovable. They got it down.

To those who has not, one needs to ask what the other wants and how to improve on the relationship. Again and again, I am seeing how right the bible is: Put others First before yourself. Love is not selfish, self first, not having an ego, and thinking about me, me and more me. If that is the case, than the relationship is only but a one way street.

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit.
Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,
not looking to your own interest but each of you to the
interests of the others. — Philippians 2: 3-4

What can Love do?

Love is the ability to overcome offences by grace. Love is also the elimination of barriers, allowing oneself to be light and salt regardless of the circumstance, objections, and opinions of others.

Love is not a feeling because if it were based on our feelings the difficulty of loving our enemy and blessing those who curse us, confirms that love could never win. Instead; love is confrontational, causing believers to confront prejudice, while examining Jesus' instruction to “love your neighbour as you love yourself.”

The Bible says:

I love it when John specifically points out that if you are a Jesus follower we must love one another. It is a commandment in the New Testament. To those who has a problem with this statement, at least we try and strive to to abide by Jesus ways. I know it is hard.

Love confronts prejudice. Prejudice is a bad habit and it can be eliminated by just DECIDING and to be aware that you don't want to do such things any more.

What Bugs Me?

It is the year 2020.

I think the world needs more LOVE. I am appalled by the amount of negativity, hate and violence in this day and age. We need to ask ourselves, do we want to live in a world of destruction and yuckiness? I wanted to go to protest in the Black Lives Matter but something told me not to BUT to do a protest online instead. So many things happened n 2020. The corona-virus, hate crimes, shootings, poverty, racism and prejudice and more. Is the world coming to end end?

We are so weighed down by the negative news that we become negative ourselves and be stoned in our cages. Doing something is better than nothing. Are you not sick and tired by all the crap out there?

We have a CHOICES. We can DECIDE to make a difference and change the world around us, or do nothing and complain, which nothing gets done. We can be empowered to do so, wisely, safely and effectively!

Talk is cheap. Let us be doers of the word. Yeah...!!! Let us be LOVE BUGS!

I was just thinking that if we actually THINK OF OTHERS more than ourselves, we would not be in this situation of hate and violence in the first place. Just as hate spreads, LOVE can spread just as effectively. I like us to be pushers of LOVE and live by example. This is the only way that humans can PROGRESS. We do not have to worry about having too much love and the buts.... they are going to come naturally so we need to tilt the balance more towards LOVE, to build a better future for us and our children.

No creativity can take place in a negative environment or have an attitude of hate. I can tell you that as being a creative designer myself. It does not take much to LOVE, just a smile goes a long way. A pat on the shoulder, a hug, simple things that you just don't even think about.

I am giving a 6 weeks discussion about the 4 types of love, what loving God/Jesus is, how to love others, and the attitudes of love. Please join me and make some impact to the world after this session and spread the LOVE around to your friends and family and their family. We need to do this!

Love Does Conquer All indeed.
